Hi, I’m Bryony.

I'm a mum of three, a SEND advocate, and the founder of SEND Meadow. My personal and professional experiences navigating the SEND system have shaped my deep understanding of how overwhelming it can feel. I'm here to guide families through it with clarity, compassion, and confidence, making the process more manageable, more human, and more hopeful.

Two of my children are neurodiverse, and it’s their journey that first sparked my passion for understanding autism and all things SEND-related. Being a SEND parent can be incredibly tough, there are days filled with joy and progress, but also moments of doubt, frustration, and confusion. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, especially when navigating the education system, trying to secure the right support, and advocating for your child’s needs.

Parenting is full of surprises, one moment you think you've found the perfect routine, the next it's back to square one. It’s a constant reminder that flexibility, patience, and a good sense of humour go a long way. That’s something I keep in mind not just at home, but in how I approach everything at Send Meadow.

Through my own experiences, I’ve come to understand just how emotionally draining and challenging the EHCP process can be, but I’ve also felt the relief and joy that comes when your child finally gets the right support. That’s why I created SEND Meadow, to help other families feel heard, supported, and empowered.

I began working in education around 14 years ago, first as a teaching assistant and cover supervisor and then as a qualified English teacher. My most recent role was working as an Inclusive Learning Coordinator, where I:

  • Prepared and wrote up EHCP annual reviews

  • Conducted and took notes for review meetings

  • Submitted reviews to local authorities

  • Reviewed consultation bundles for placements

In addition to my professional role, I also volunteer as a facilitator for a local social group for autistic adults, offering continued support to the wider neurodiverse community.

The SEND system can feel overwhelming, but with the right support, a bit of humour, and some determination, it’s possible to make a real difference for your child.

When I’m not working or navigating the ups and downs of parenthood, I enjoy watching live stand up comedy and binge-watching comedy TV and films, finding humour wherever I can, because honestly, laughter keeps me sane and smiling through it all.
